@JKSH It depends on the page layout. You may see that note, or you may click on "Register" and not see a thing. Because it's not part of either the login or register popup.

    And another thing/clue :)

I see another of my posts. I made it this morning, later edited it. On that PC it showed the edit.

Now from another PC it does not show the edit. Doubtless that will turn up in due course :) Yet strangely it does show the correct up-votes number, which have been made since the edit. So instead of right-post wrong-number of votes, I also get wrong-post right-number of votes!

Which perhaps means that there is separate caching for posts (edits etc.) versus votes, each cache being able to get out-of-date. Just thought you'd be fascinated to hear ;-)

And don't forget my "wrong font" half the time....!

I was able to edit @christian-gudrian's profile, so the username is not the problem. The error message is probably wrong.

FWIW, on my work machine, with super-duper Internet speed, after all was well all morning, it just changed over to serif font. In this case, a refresh immediately returned to serif (unlike from home where that took half an hour).

The point is, there seems to be something sensitive in this forum to failing to load whatever causes the font change to sans serif....

    P.S.
And this just happened again, and cleared again on refresh.

    P.P.S.
Slight clue to help track down: if I simply click to revisit the page (e.g. https://forum.qt.io/unread) the font remains serif. I have to do a reload/refresh for it to move correctly to sans serif. So something to do with caching....

I have only just figured what you meant. The icons against the forum names are characters in a font?! I assumed they were GIFs you lovingly designed for this forum!?

Yeah, I can't design at all, so if it were down to me they would be green circles :)

I see similar behavior on the recent page. Last reply preview on the right is inconsistent compared to the content of the topic and its position in the recent list.

    Two example:

"No one has replied" from recent page when there is already one or more replies when I open the topic. Topic is first in list on recent page and last reply says it was several hours or days ago.

edit: Persist even after a refresh of the page

Can someone explain an equally simple way to the forums?
The only way I found was to scroll down a lot (until no more content is added when scrolling, or you just have to be faster than the browser), and there is a link.

EDIT: I would have looked under Resources, but no luck

    Developers->Qt Forum.

Ah, same problem. Didn't see "Developers" in the top menu bar.

Thanks! It will get easier once we are caught up as it will happen less often and I can be sure everything is properly in sync then. This one should have been straight forward had I not made a mistake that I then compounded until I caught it :)

And now the forum is updated to v1.7.5.

You may notice that the front page has a bit of an alignment problem, this seems to be connected to the Qt theme we have, so this will be looked into at a later point once we are done with upgrading to v1.12.2. Other than that, if anyone notices any problems then please let me know!

Plan is to move to v1.8 during next week and possibly v1.9 at the end of it if that one goes smoothly.

Just came across this now, I have turned it on for my own account and will report back once I know someone has replied to something I am watching. It might be a bug in NodeBB at least or there is some issue with our email sending assuming that it fails for me at least.

Here is an answer to test the notification.

That worked for me at least.

@oneeyeman1 did you still not get anything?
