Yeah, we don't have the latest version of the plugin, but apparently the issue hasn't been resolved after the release of the installed version. The relevant bug: https://github.com/NodeBB/nodebb-plugin-question-and-answer/issues/18

Hmm, no, I did not. It was fine for my first reply earlier this morning, now it is not. I haven't done anything like that, nor installed updates, nor changed my Firefox, or....

EDIT Yay! Told Firefox to clear the (just 2) cookies it has for forum.qt.io, and now I am back to old interface! I wonder what changed what cookie to make it mobile....

EDIT2 Nightmare time :( That held for a few minutes. Now the new "mobile" interface has returned. I didn't do anything special. And this time I'm not having luck with clearing out all the cookies. WTF? :(:(

EDIT3 Now clearing the cookies is working again. It's possible I had not closed all Firefox windows previously. I'm going to monitor this for a while before deciding whether it's solved or not....

EDIT4 Well, seems to be behaving itself so far today! I'll re-mark this as the solution, and keep my fingers crossed... :)

I now stopped having this problem. As an important note, however, the workaround suggested in the NodeBB bug report breaks completely the bugreports.qt.io system

Thanks for reporting this, @Ruuttu. Late last year, the Qt 4.8 docs were moved to the archive, and it looks like the search tool wasn't updated.

I've pinged one of the web admins. However, almost all of Norway is on summer vacation right now so it might be a while before the search is fixed.

Perhaps if the certificate prices are coming down (for example https://letsencrypt.org/ are 0 US$) you could purchase 2 certificates, one for qt.io and for www.qt.io

We investigated this briefly last week and indeed there's a problem with Qt Forum when changing the email address via Qt Account. A new forum account is created when the email address is changed. We still need to figure out, what exactly is causing this and how to fix it.

Also, there's no simple way to merge users, but of course there's the final solution to do it via editing the database directly...

We'll let you know as soon as we know more. Sorry about the issue.
