Unable to edit profile: username too long

Hello!

I have just signed in to the forum and wanted to update my profile. If I click "Save Changes" I receive the "ERROR: username too long".

What can I do?

choose shorter one i guess, if it is really to long

i can't even find how to change the username .. it"s not in profile>settings nor profile>edit,,
how you do it ?

If you log in to the forum with your existing Qt account for the first time, you are prompted to enter a username – which I successfully did. Unfortunately some other part of the forum has a different notion of what is an acceptable username.

I've already tried to change it, but – as you've already pointed out – that's not possible either.

The reason why I couldn't change some settings recently was due to this setting

Previously the default & the maximum was higher than 20, if you don't change them manually to 20 you will not be able to save any changes

I was able to edit @christian-gudrian's profile, so the username is not the problem. The error message is probably wrong.
