Hello @p3c0 and thanks for your answer. Yes the m_bCreated was declared, just a copy/paste issue when creating this post as I didn't paste my full code, just a snippet. The issue was in the i variable as you pointed it. I am not very familiar with JS, my bad. Declaring it before the loop solved my problem. Thanks for your help!

I have found a workaround but I am still open with a better idea.. I have modify this source file of qt creator "src/plugins/qmldesigner/qmldesignerextension/connectioneditor/bindingmodel.cpp" I added the field "Global" in "Source Item" and when Global is selected in souce item I read my js file and with a regexp I add variables in "Source Property"

Luckily I found solution myself :) According to http://doc.qt.io/qt-5/qtqml-javascript-hostenvironment.html#javascript-environment-restrictions "global" object cannot be modified inside a JavaScript function. In this cause that code was part of onClicked property. Proper code: onClicked : { var working_time = calendarForDate.chosen_Hour; // local variable working_time.setHours( (calendarForDate.chosen_Hour.getHours() + 1)%24 ); // now JavaScript can modify that calendarForDate.chosen_Hour = working_time; console.log(calendarForDate.chosen_Hour.getHours()); // one cannot modify global object, but that's perfectly fine hoursField.text = calendarForDate.chosen_Hour.getHours() // now it works as intended } Thanks for you attention.

Answering my own question. By multiplying the drawImage coordinates by the zoom factor helped to solve it. Is this a bug of QML or something that I have read from the documentation?

I found the solution. Not only can you call the HTML5 postMessage() API to pass messages back and form from/to the IFRAME to the parent document, but Qt's version of WebKit have lax security controls compared to Chrome and do allow you to do the following in the IFRAME's Javascript. The trick is the window.parent.[whatever] -- something that Chrome won't let you do with stuff accessed with file:// (local files). $(document).ready(function(){ if (window.parent.cpp) { var cpp = window.parent.cpp; // do something with C++ here through the cpp object } });

Good news! My use case is actually well covered by simply using a regular .import "thing.js" as Thing. I don't need the specific namespace-less behavior of Qt.include; I just happened to miss .import when reading the doc, thus failing to understand that Qt.include is only a second import mechanism to be used instead of .import under very specific (documented) circumstances. → Doc might still deserve clarification of the async behavior, but my initial problem is gone with using .import. I updated the QTBUG
