Thanks for reporting this, @Ruuttu. Late last year, the Qt 4.8 docs were moved to the archive, and it looks like the search tool wasn't updated. I've pinged one of the web admins. However, almost all of Norway is on summer vacation right now so it might be a while before the search is fixed. In the meantime, you can use this tool if you're on Chrome/Firefox: https://forum.qt.io/topic/35616/web-browser-extension-for-improved-doc-searches

Perhaps if the certificate prices are coming down (for example https://letsencrypt.org/ are 0 US$) you could purchase 2 certificates, one for qt.io and for www.qt.io

Hi @Fuel-0, We investigated this briefly last week and indeed there's a problem with Qt Forum when changing the email address via Qt Account. A new forum account is created when the email address is changed. We still need to figure out, what exactly is causing this and how to fix it. Also, there's no simple way to merge users, but of course there's the final solution to do it via editing the database directly... We'll let you know as soon as we know more. Sorry about the issue.

Hi, Sorry have been off the forum a bit. I think there was a bug on this too. I'll ping the documentation team about it. I can't remember this happening before, so it probably is someone forgetting to update something :)

Hi @Capricorn_Noble That is a tough one, this is due to your location. I'll ask marketing automation people to take a look. It should be a simple case of moving you to the general info list from the Japan list.

Hi, This is something we haven't looked at. The settings in this version don't seem to have that option, it sends emails always when there is an answer. (my guess is that this has been the simplest option to implement)
