Trying to contribute
-
I just tried to send a patch but failed:
Following http://wiki.qt.io/Qt_Contribution_Guidelines I tried to log into
Gerrit using my Qt account, but my e-mail seems to be missing although
I just used it to sign in.
If I try to register my e-mail clicking onto the link of the verification mail I
get the following page:Code Review - Error
Server Error
Identity in use by another account
[Continue]What can I do?
-
@bjoern.thiel just in case, have you followed the Gerrit registration steps?
-
@Pablo-J.-Rogina Yes, the error occurs at step 3.
-
@tero-kojo, can you help here?
-
You mean @tekojo ?
-
@bjoern.thiel yes, he means me :)
( @aha_1980 that other account is for testing purposes. Sometimes a normal account is needed)It looks like you have an account ok. (and you already contributed one patch in 2015, thank you!)
So you definitely can't re-register an account.How exactly is your email/account missing in Gerrit? You can log into https://codereview.qt-project.org/ right?
It could be a case of you having an old account, and now you created a new one. But the email should be the key on both forum and codereview.
Is it possible that you forgot the old account?
(it's probably a case for @jukka anyway) -
I can log into https://codereview.qt-project.org/ but there is no e-mail registered.
And if I try to register my e-mail I receive a verification mail and clicking onto the link
I get the following page:Code Review - Error
Server Error
Identity in use by another account
[Continue]So basically I'm stuck.

Fixed. Many thanks.

@bjoern.thiel two things please.
- Could you describe how this was fixed? Something you did? Something the site's admins did?
- If your issue is solved don't forget to mark the post as such.
Thanks.

Oswald Buddenhagen wrote me an e-mail and took care of it.
