For some reason the unused USB drives were causing the problem. After I disable the drives configure seemed to run correctly.

    Hi and welcome to devnet,

You should rather ask this on the interest mailing list you'll find Qt's developers/maintainers there (this forum is more user oriented)

From my point of view, Qt supporting old Windows version up to XP, it's rather unlikely that a WASAPI backend will be implemented soon (AFAIK it's available starting Vista). Also, Qt is not a low latency audio framework, it happens to work on OS X because the OS is already built like that.

HOWEVER I don't say I can't/won't be done, if a backend using WASAPI is contributed, it might very well be integrated.

While updating system font configuration, other application(like Chrome/Gedit) change too. But no change detected in QtCreator. Does QtCreator have a different config?

Man this sure is frustrating when trying to use these forums; I sure hope someone who works on the site directly can address this. I've never had this problem with any other forum site.

Might also be that this "position":http://qt-project.org/forums/viewthread/30149/ hasn't been filed yet.

Apple wants to sell Apple hardware and software so they restrict building iOS apps to use both, although Xcode and the iOS SDK are both available as free downloads on the Mac App Store. In addition, the iOS Developer Program is $99/year.

You may want to look at the possibility of using virtual machines, such as VMWare and VirtualBox, but I'm not sure what's involved or how successfully you can build iOS apps on these.

The Wikipedia article "Virtual Machines":http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Virtual_machine has more information and you can search Google or ...

Thanks. Yes I see it now.
I never would have guessed that (on my first day) because there were many grey ones that I hadn't read. So I am assuming that only the ones that were posted after I registered and haven't read are black.

Sure, perhaps they could. But that discussion has raged before. The bottom line is that (as of yet): they did not. That may or may not change in the future (I sure hope that it will be feasible to provide a good, stable C++ interface), but at the moment we are stuck with QML if we want a modern UI paradigm. There were good reasons why that did not happen to begin with, and why it has not happened yet, but that does not say that it shoud not happen at all.

    ?

I posted a feature request to the Qt team but it was closed/rejected. I discovered that there have been a number of previous requests for this basic functionality, all of which wee rejected.

Apparently they find it too difficult to figure out how to address this and made a claim that the "sessions" feature provides this functionality, which clearly it does not. I've seen this before, where developers defend an obvious usability design flaw as a "feature" or non-issue, being unable or stubbornly unwilling to see the obvious use cases it affects.

A shame but not much to do about it.
