How to prevent spammer to post messages?
-
Just deleted 13 spam messages from this one https://qt-project.org/member/160748
And found that it was adding messages while I was deleting them.Is there any way to make user silent for some time or report it to the site administrators?
-
That's an hyper-active one...
-
hell yeah... :-(
I just deleted another 40 from the users:
bengalibabaji
deenaatwoodI reported them again, but since they are not blocked yet, I wonder who receives those reports about spamming? in the old days the super admins like Marius and Alexandra and Gurudutt took care. Does anyone know who is in charge for deleting users now? Or how can we get the power?

Thanks for your perseverance, guys.
I asked Tero this question last week. Apparently, moderators have the authority to ban users, but currently don't have the authority to access the page that lets you ban users.
We'll have to wait for Tero to fix the page access.

How is banning done by moderators?
I know only how to delete the spam. Anyhow, creating a new name is only a short moment. -

Indeed, it seems the subjects are moving to strange "concepts"

I would suggest new members should have a percentage (Let 's say 30%) of user information filled in before they can post. That way it's too much work to even start the spamming and moderators have less work dealing with it.
Can that be done? Any thoughts about this idea?
-
Not a bad idea. I think the best person to answer about the feasibility of it is Tero
I guess it has to be more sophisticated than that.
Would be simply 30% of more garbage.
I agree, they willput in garbage in the user fields. but at least as a moderator we can force them to put in more effort to get the spam in the forum manually. I'm convinced this is doen by hand and not a bot.
BTW i'm deleting spam for the past 5 minutes now. This is the 5th spamming wave since friday. I've kept a close look on it during the weekend. Any help is welcome

Too efficient... you guys get all the fun! ;-)
Seriously though, good work.
