It is a kind of a funny: I got specialist badge but only a certified developer certificate ;) I also noticed that the specialists do have certificate developer badge too - I don't. So basically it is a bit messy but there is a some charm in it :)
Sorted now :)

Yes you are right, but Yes that is true, but what Im thinking is if the certificate would attract developers to particular technology/solution - qml in this case.

No access to documentation. IMHO to pass Essentials you need to work with Qt for one-two years, to pass Specialist UI you need to work with Qt for three-four years, to pass Specialist C++ you need to work with C++ for two-four years. Exams are not too hard. Essentials took for me 20 minutes, Specialist exams took around 25-30 minutes each. I think that Qt certificates can show that person has some level of knowledge in Qt. It is not a big advantage, but not small too :) (at least you can move to advanced questions during interview and skip simple like what is QObject and signal-slots mechanism)

Maybe it is a bit late to reply but there is one more benefit. Your company will show that it cares about the competences of it's employees. It is a good sign for possible new hires that your company is a place where one can develop and improve its skills.

ps: Hope that you have convinced your CEO.
You said call them, to what country to call? Can I contact them by email? How?
Their numbers are listed on the website. Really. I know, because I had to call them not too long ago too. They have access numbers in most countries it seemed, though i think I got redirected to a call center abroad.
Indeed, Alexandra is right. The Qt Ambassador applications are being processed much faster now. We ran into some bottlenecks at the end of last year, but we are seeing the light. Sorry for the delay! If you wonder the status of your application, please send me a mail with your name and project name.

As for the Ambassador name list - great idea. We will see how this can be implemented. Thanks for that.
What's the expected processing time at the moment for an application that was accepted, and for which you had to upload some screenshots? Just so I know when to expect my app (Saint) to be processed...

    André
No time flat, it seems. The application is already processed and up on the website :-)

Is there any word yet on when we can expect our certificates to arrive?
I am "looking for":http://developer.qt.nokia.com/forums/viewthread/3352 a new job, and they might come in handy.
Any progress on this, Marius?
No progress on a new badge, the development pipeline is full for next weeks release and it will probably not make it into the following release (two weeks) either.
