I think every 10 foot UI should be developed in QML these days :-)
I have the same feeling, even if I'm not (yet) developing this kind of applications. :-)

    I don't think that's possible, as the macro always expands to the current line. But you might use the preprocessor to simulate the behaviour.

    @
    #define write(msg) writeLine(LINE, msg)

    void writeLine(int line, QString msg)
    {
    qDebug() << line << msg;
    }

    ...
    write("message"); // 9 "message"
Whatever - it is most probably a good sign for all Qt developers, as we are a little closer to Qt on Windows Phone 7.
I agree. And I think this is connected to the Nokia and Microsoft union. Hope Qt will offer Windows Phone portability as now it is the case for Symbian.

    :D Well, we're programmers. Can't go around pretending "qt-project" and "qt-community" strings are the same :P

    Anyway, cheers, and a good day to you all!

    Nokia have said that this is related to the Next billion. So we might see Qt on this soon. Wonder what is the future of j2me and S40. On forum Nokia, they are strongly promoting it. Leads me to believe that both will coexist.

    The Tizen SDK has no builtin support for Qt. For the native SDK it supports the EFL.

    bq. In response to a question at the Dev Days welcome address, Nokia's Kenny Mathers said that the next billion platform was not S40.
One can love Apple or one can hate Apple (or it's fanboys), but one cannot but concede that Steve Jobs changed the world of computing and of devices radically. By one way or the other we all have been influenced by his ideas.
You are right. I am not at all a fan of apple (and worst of the iBoys), but he was a brillant man and his death is a big loss for our society.
