    1 x 9 = 09 -> 0 + 9 2 x 9 = 18 -> 1 + 8 3 x 9 = 27 -> 2 + 7 4 x 9 = 36 -> 3 + 6 . . . with each multiplication, the right digit decreases by 1 and the left digit increase by 1 so the sum of the digits will always remains the same, 9. A similar pattern may also apply to higher digit numbers. I'am not a math geek and this may not be the correct reason, but thinking about it, I just got this pattern.

    @AlanGifford: I searched the docs for compiler, qt version and kit. Other relevant keywords should also work. You are right, these documents are pretty close to the end of the manual, while they might make more sense close to the start or maybe they could get pointed to from a "getting started" page or something. Contributions would be appreciated!

    What does the OpenCV documentation say? Even though you are using the Qt SDK, your problem is only about how to use an OpenCV function, which is not related to Qt at all. So, you can probably find more help at an OpenCV forum (http://answers.opencv.org ) than at a Qt forum. Having said that, please feel free to ask here if you'd like some help with how to link the Qt library to your project, or how to use the Qt SDK. :)

    Just have a look at V-Play, I can't wait until they release! IMO, if QML some how like FXML in JavaFX (you can handle almost all GUI elements and its properties with FXML just like using java code, very easy to communicate between FXML and Java Controller class), I will love to use it. At the moment, I do not exclude it, if it provides the components that I need, I will use it.

    As rantings go, this one is really balanced and polite, so don't worry :D And I guess we all feel this way about Nokia now, but - as you've rightly put it - luckily Qt is no longer dependent on that company.
