@m.sue If I try to run the release version outside the Qt it will crash saying: This application failed to start because it could not find or load the Qt plataform plugin "windows" in "". Reinstall the application may fix the problem.

Just awakening this old thread to add a note: To get the actual pc file, add create_pc as well to the CONFIG (needs the create_prl statement as well). It will install the .pc file in the SYSROOT/usr/lib/pkgconfig folder upon make install. For those with an SDK built using The Yocto Project or alike, I use the following command to install into the correct SDK target sysroot after having sourced the SDK environment script: sudo INSTALL_ROOT=$SDKTARGETSYSROOT make install

@SGaist said in Maintenance Tool Fails to Update: It's in my pipeline :) Thanks, @Sgaist! I've uploaded it to GitHub. @Paul-H. said in Maintenance Tool Fails to Update: It would be nice if the installer let you choose. We just got some good news today. The next major version of the installer will allow users to change mirrors! https://bugreports.qt.io/browse/QTIFW-441

To me it is not clear: did you build Qt successfully? Can you show the output of configure?

Might be or the Makefile generation does something wrong since there's a warning with nmake. I'd recommend taking a longer look at the bug report system to see if there's anything related. If not then please consider opening a new report with your findings.

That's a strange error from a 3rdparty... It looks like there's a class from ASSIMP that hasn't been compiled. In any case, I'd update the Qt repository to see if there's anything related to ASSIMP. Just in case, if you don't plan on using Qt3D, you should consider building only the modules you currently need and then add others later on when needed.

@chaithubk Just create a directory containing QtCreator, all needed libraries and plug-ins and copy it to other machines. You can zip the folder to reduce its size. You can take a look at this: http://doc.qt.io/qt-5/linux-deployment.html As QtCreator uses Qt the description there applies to it as well.

@Asperamanca to add: nmake uninstall should be run before clean and distclean to remove the installed files if you want to reinstall it. could cause some troubles to run nmake install if file exists already (especially on windows where a file can not be overwritten while it is in use by another process) --edit can also be combined in one line nmake uninstall clean distclean

Thanks for your replies guys! Just to give some news about this issue... I tried both of your solutions during these 2 weeks: The proxy does not seem to disturb the SSL certificates I talked a lot with the IT guys and it resulted as a dead end... There is no chance for me to do a manual configuration of the SSL certificates for security reasons. I think it might work if we could re-use the system's SSL configuration into the application but I'm not sure if it's possible and I don't have plenty of time to spend on that anymore. I'll be happy if you guys have another awesome idea on that but if not, I'll mark this issue as solved since this is a very specific problem that very few people will encounter. Anyway, thanks a lot for your help on that! Best regards
