We investigated this briefly last week and indeed there's a problem with Qt Forum when changing the email address via Qt Account. A new forum account is created when the email address is changed. We still need to figure out, what exactly is causing this and how to fix it.
Also, there's no simple way to merge users, but of course there's the final solution to do it via editing the database directly...
We'll let you know as soon as we know more. Sorry about the issue.
Sorry have been off the forum a bit.
I think there was a bug on this too. I'll ping the documentation team about it.
I can't remember this happening before, so it probably is someone forgetting to update something :)
That is a tough one, this is due to your location.
I'll ask marketing automation people to take a look. It should be a simple case of moving you to the general info list from the Japan list.
This is something we haven't looked at.
The settings in this version don't seem to have that option, it sends emails always when there is an answer.
(my guess is that this has been the simplest option to implement)
@tekojo said in Support Feeds:
There is a small gray rss icon in every sub-forum in the breadcrumbs, at the top of the page.
And the recent posts has the same (https://forum.qt.io/recent.rss)
But that generates a lot of items.
Oops, that's right.
Yes, NodeBB like @koahnig said.
(I forgot to put the footer in place after the last update, that's fixed now and it shows the NodeBB link)
We have been quite happy with NodeBB, easy to set up and runs happily in clouds. It's been evolving a lot in these couple of years we have had it.
The info address is an automatic mailbox, I'm not sure where the mails go. I'm guessing the contact section mails go to sales or support, who don't touch the newsletter (however they should know who does).
Careers goes to the people recruiting for the Qt Company, they really don't have control over the newsletters.
In my experience the unsubscribe link works (yes I use it occasionally).
Sorry for the trouble you have had.
For all of your answers, i feel like if you are running near the target.
2/ Sure a Ui can not construct a title in place of people... it may have an other idea, people can not (and me to) be soooo stupid fr thinking that Ui can make people write e good title.
6/ blender forum, really, you absolutly need some examples, without you can not understand what is tree organisation, tags searching words,... really ?
7/ And then, did you decide to just copy the old one, remove things and painting new color and said... "ho well, look, at my job... i done something very good". Isn't fashion ?
What you will do ? nothing ? So stop to ask question for run away next.
Yes, there is also Yacy (P2P engine browser). I use duckduckgo allready, it is not the subject here. Read your answer, it really looks like you run away all the time. It is boring.
It looks like what ever i will tell you for my feeling will be deny. You should absolutely do politics or sitting lawyer, you would be nice.
Ok, i definitely stop this non-sens relation now, it serve nothing.
I will no more answer, i understand perfectly the situation.
Have a good trip as long as you will be able to go on this way.
Interesting tested on Windows 10 64 bit with newest updates
First copied link from Chrome https://login.qt.io/unread and got the same message as JKSH
At that point forum was still logged in on Chrome.
Logged out of forum in Chrome F5 and copied and pasted "https://login.qt.io/" to Edge and this time it worked. I cannot reproduce the inital error anymore.
Logged in Chrome and Edge does not show the error anymore. Probably because of the internal buffer?
Microsoft Edge 40.15063.0.0
There was a bug in the login integration to Qt Account. This prevented new users from logging in, they got an internal server error.
Bug was fixed 26-Jun-2017 about 1 pm Finnish time. If you got the message, just try again now.
