Qt Creator and other tools

Hi and welcome to devnet, Did you add the include path to where the libraries headers can be found in your pro file ?

Any changes in this area? I am creating a project using CMake that sets several targets for the same codebase using the "target_compile_definitions" function of CMake in order to set different #defines for each target. When I try to add a .config file in Qt Creator, it seems unable to discover it. I even added the .config file to the CMake list of sources without luck. Any tips? (besides the <REALLY DIRTY HACK>, that is).

The designer does not pick up the items from a plugin automatically. But you can write a .metainfo file that defines the contents of the item library. An example can be found here: https://github.com/qtproject/qt-creator/tree/master/tests/manual/qml/testprojects/plugins. Just have a look at: MyPlugin.metainfo

It was the "what applies where" that hunts. I did play a lot ! ;) but the "selection color" (light grey) for the Object list while editing UI files , i can change while using Dark theme, but when use default (light), the VERY same key does nothing. aka do not change the color. Also it has a [Style] WidgetStyle=StyleFlat and defaultstyle Seems to matter for what i want. and [Palette] where where you sort of can define aliases it seems. And when i finally thought I had it, it turned out the value tool tip/eval also turned blue as my selection. So docs would have been nice. :) thank you update: for the default style i changed all colors to green. Half the elements in Designer kept their normal color so I guess i must read the code to understand why its not as straight as it looks.

For the mail thing, check your account settings, it might be off. It might be a glitch in the autotools plugin

Previously, you needed separate accounts for pretty much all Qt services (Qt Account, forum account, JIRA account, etc.). The plan is to unify all those logins under a single one (Qt Account). This is already done for the forum, but seemingly the bugtracker is not there yet. If you want to know more, Tero Kojo probably has detailed information, he is one of the admins and is employed by Qt Company to update the various web services, as far as I am aware.

Sounds like a BUG.
