Latest QtCreator version should be fine with Qt4 You can install the latest QtCreator version as stand alone package and test.

But in the example project there is a QML component called 'Autoscroller'. I thought that was for automatically scrolling the input fields to the visible area of the screen.

Check in the ndk whether you have gcc 4.8 available IIRC there was a change with r11.
