I have several custom widgets that I build under Linux and QT 4.8.5 and they work great.
I have installed Qt 4.8.5 on Windows 7 along with the proper MinGW (4.4.0).
I can now rebuild those custom widgets on WIndows and they are installed in the proper Qt plugins/designer directory.
They are not showing up in the Designer.
I have done a ton of Googling but cannot find a solution.
    Any help would be appreciated.
I am guessing I have some step that is needed for Windows that I am not aware of.

    Thanks!

      Hi and welcome to devnet,

Qt Creator is built with MSVC2010 so your plugins are not compatible with it. You have two options here:

      • build Qt Creator with MinGW
      • build your plugins with MSVC2010

I am using QT Designer not Creator.

But I found out the answer. One must build the release version, not the debug version!

Glad you found out and thanks for sharing !

Since it's now working, can you please update the thread title prepending [solved] so other forum users may know a solution has been found :)

On a side note it's Qt, QT stands for Apple QuickTime
