Qt Quick doesn't build on Mac

I have been struggling with this for days. I create a bare bone QML quick application with no custom code but it will not build on Mac. It gives the following error:
@[iphonesimulator-debug] Error 66@
I don't know what to do about it, it is very frustrating qt project will simply not build on Mac and actually hard to believe it is released like this! I am using Qt Creator 3.2.2
