Hello QT Community,
I have read on the QT website: Code once, deploy everywhere.
I have primarily used the Open-Source QT IDE.
I am interested in learning how to make a cross platform application between as many OS as possible.
Windows, Linux, Android, and iOS.
I want to begin as simple as possible, maybe just a label that says hi.
My concern is that I don't know where to start.
Do I need a paid version of QT? Are there any benefits and QoL tools that would help me if so?
Is it possible to do it using QT open-Source? Are there any downsides to it ?
Maybe I have not looked hard enough, but all I see is, code once, deploy everywhere, but having more trouble finding some resources making it do so.
Maybe it does require a paid version of QT. If so, then I would be looking into talking to a sales rep.
Can someone point me in the right direction?
I am only familiar with QT Desktop application in Linux and using ESRI ArcGIS Sdk with QT.
I am looking to expand my knowledge.
Thanks,

ZHi,
No you don't need the commercial licence for the targets you listed. If you want LTS support then yes, a commercial licence is required.
As for what to do, each platform has a getting started guide in the Qt documentation explaining what you need to download / setup in order to be able to build for that platform.
