I'm trying to install Qt & QtCreator on my Mac (latest OS), but after installation I can't open any of examples--all the kits are greyed out.
I've tried re-installing a couple of times, but with no luck.

Aha, that was the problem! I installed cmake and now things are working. (I had assumed cmake was installed by the Qt installer.)
      Thanks for the help!

        Hi,

How are you installing them ?
Which version did you select exactly ?
By latest OS, do you mean Sequoia ?

          I'm installing via qt-online-installer-macOS-x64-4.8.1.app.
          I'm installing versions 6.8.2.
          Yes, Sequoia 15.3.1

If I look at the kits in the options, it looks like this:

              It seems to look good.

What do you have in the Qt versions tab ?

                  @batguano

It might be a silly question, but did you install the examples from Qt 6.8.2 or from another version?

Also, in your first screenshot, do you get any information on mouse-over, either on the left side (with the red exclamation marks) or on the select boxes in the middle?

                  Regards

Qt has to stay free or it will die.

The examples afaict are installed from 6.8.2.
Mouseover does reveal an error: "No cmake tool set."
                    How do I resolve that?

Do you have cmake installed ?
If yes, how and where ?
                      If no, then install it.
Next, go to its configuration pane and point it to the one you installed.

@batguano it can but you have to explicitly select it.
