    What is the "official" pronunciation of Qt (in English)? My team has been using Qt for a decade and we have always called it, "Kyew Tee", but Wikipedia gives the pronunciation as "Cute". The Wikipedia source links are very old and/or broken and so I do not trust them much. I cannot find much in the way of an answer just from a web search...

      The CEO of Qt pronounces it "cute".

        We just say it "Kyew Tee". As long as we know what we are talking about we don't care. I am sure my internet points won't be as high due to this transgression against the gods of software.

        C++ is a perfectly valid school of magic.

          @fcarney
          I'm with you. Only after I started out calling it "ku tee" did I learn it's supposed to be pronounced "kewt", and if you ask me that sounds naff!

            Haavard Nord, co-author of Qt, pronounces it as "cute" and IIRC it was because they wanted to build something that would help make cute UIs.

              There is no need to follow Wikipedia. For me it will always be "Kyew Tee"
