Maintenance Tool does not install Creator 4.9 although it says so
-
Hi,
I've just updated my Qt installation to 5.12.3 and also selected Creator 4.9.0 (I had the previews for 4.9-beta and -rc before).
Now when starting Creator, it says 4.8.2 instead!
Anyone else having this problem?

I think the dialog is correct:
$ ll /opt/Qt/Tools/QtCreator/bin/ insgesamt 1236 drwxrwxr-x 2 root root 4096 Mär 31 07:43 ./ drwxrwxr-x 6 root root 4096 Mär 31 07:43 ../ -rwxrwxr-x 1 root root 347104 Feb 28 16:40 qbs* -rwxrwxr-x 1 root root 62752 Feb 28 16:40 qbs-config* -rwxrwxr-x 1 root root 77512 Feb 28 16:40 qbs-config-ui* -rwxrwxr-x 1 root root 76832 Feb 28 16:40 qbs-create-project* -rwxrwxr-x 1 root root 81248 Feb 28 16:40 qbs-setup-android* -rwxrwxr-x 1 root root 124120 Feb 28 16:40 qbs-setup-qt* -rwxrwxr-x 1 root root 335144 Feb 28 16:40 qbs-setup-toolchains* -rw-rw-r-- 1 root root 100 Feb 28 16:40 qt.conf -rwxrwxr-x 1 root root 134184 Feb 28 16:40 qtcreator* -rwxrwxr-x 1 root root 1245 Feb 28 16:37 qtcreator.sh*
Looks like a bug? :)

From how previous updates went I would say,
the first "update" was solely for the maintenanceTool and the "2nd Update" actually updates the components.Previously the tool would state "maintenance tool needs to be updated first" this time it was part of the update list...

@J.Hilk said in Maintenance Tool does not install Creator 4.9 although it says so:
From how previous updates went I would say,
the first "update" was solely for the maintenanceTool and the "2nd Update" actually updates the components.Yes, I'm aware of that. But I already upgraded from Qt 5.12.0 to 5.12.3 and in this step Creator was not updated.
So I still think there is something buggy...

@aha_1980
well its not an easy tool to use.I'm currently fighting with it as well, my antivirus pushes it into quarantine because it may be a potential virus.
Only happens with my own created tools not the QtCreator one.
I'm still trying to figure that one out...
