Re: Unable to get sedkit-env-webkit package
E: The repository 'http://ppa.launchpad.net/u-szeged/sedkit/ubuntu bionic Release' does not have a Release file.
N: Updating from such a repository can't be done securely, and is therefore disabled by default.
N: See apt-secure(8) manpage for repository creation and user configuration details. This is the error I get when you try adding the ppa by the command
sudo apt-add-repository ppa:u-szeged/sedkit -
@DForDJ Is there a reason why you ask this here? Your question is not related to Qt. You should rather ask people behind http://ppa.launchpad.net/u-szeged/sedkit/ubuntu
You can see who is working on it here: https://launchpad.net/~u-szeged
The reason for this error is probably that there is no repository for Ubuntu 18.04:[DIR] oneiric/ 2011-12-09 08:32 - [DIR] precise/ 2013-02-05 10:13 - [DIR] quantal/ 2013-02-05 10:33 - [DIR] raring/ 2013-10-18 12:18 - [DIR] saucy/ 2014-03-14 16:14 - [DIR] trusty/ 2014-05-27 09:53 -
See http://ppa.launchpad.net/u-szeged/sedkit/ubuntu/dists/
You can try to use older one, see here how https://askubuntu.com/questions/866901/what-can-i-do-if-a-repository-ppa-i-added-does-not-have-a-release-file -
@DForDJ said in Cannot download sedkit-env-qtwebkit in ubuntu 18.04:
So your saying there is no work around?
No, as I wrote you could try to use repo for older Ubuntu version.
"Do I need this tool for compiling QT from git?" - I don't see any relation to Qt to be honest.
