QtWebEngine Failed to create D3D shaders



  • Hi! I have checked my application with Application Verifier. The application crashes with the issue: NULL handle passed as parameter. A valid handle must be used. I have reported it: QtWebEngine issue last month. Then I checked Google Chrome with Application Verifier and it crashes with the same issue. So the issue is with the Chromium framework which is used by QtWebEngine.

    I deselected the Handles option and run my project. Now I get black screen and a lot of issues:

    new QSizeGrip(parent) leads to heap issue and then QtWebEngine fails. I'm working to fix it and reply later.



  • I have fixed the issue by replacing QIcon to QPixmap in the code and removing QSizeGrip. Now it works with Application Verifier with Basics test selected, except for Handles which is the issue with Chromium framework.
