    Hi all,
    Newbie here trying to learn QTCreator.
    I created a new project, QT Widgets app, opened the new mainwindow.ui form in Design mode, but I cant add any controls to the form. Double click does not work, dragging does not work.

    What am I doing wrong?
    Screenshot attached.
    Thanks

      @Jezza

      Hi and welcome to devnet forum

      Place cursor over item on left, left click and hold, pullover to window.
      Does that work?

        Ah, think I've solved it.
        I use a USB graphics tablet connected to a laptop instead of a mouse and normally there's no problem using it to emulate a mouse in all other apps, but for some reason the regular click&drag is not working as expected in QTCreator.

        I've just discovered that if I use my laptop's inbuilt touchpad, which I normally never use, I can drag controls onto the form with a fingertip double click. That seems to be the only way.

        It must be a quirk of QTCreator that I'll have to live with.

          Not sure of thestage of support for graphic tablets with creator.

          I am still working the old style with a real mouse and buttons on it ;)

          Personally I hate those touchpads on laptops. Typically they are located in the wrong place and accident touches make the cursor jump anywhere.

            Hi
            Is it true mouse emulation mode ?
            I wondering if you can drag a file in explorer with it ?
