Qt MsBuild Integration always causes post build step to run

We have been updating our projects using the new Qt VS Tools to use the new Qt MsBuild integration.
While the performance is much better, we have run into somewhat of an annoying issue. The projects that have been updated to use the new integration cause Visual Studio to skip the project up to date check and always builds the project even if it is up to date. Since nothing needs to be rebuilt, nothing actually builds, however, the post build step always runs. We use the post build step to copy our includes files and other items to the outputs directory and it is really annoying for this to happen every time even when the project is already up to date.
Has anyone found a workaround for this?
