Both lupdate and lrelease within Visual Studio 2015 (even with Visual Studio 2017, however, I know the plugin is beta) gives an error - "Object reference not set to an instance of an object"

I am suspecting it is the plugin. It is updated from within VS.

I am not quite sure what is happening. I tried searching online if this has already been solved but could not get any information.

I have Visual Studio 2015 Update 3 and Qt 5.7.0

Any help is appreciated. Thank you.

@vivian you may want to contact the author of this post, as it looks he runs translations well with Qt VS Tools.

      Hope that help.

Unfortunately, the post did not help. I still get the same errors.
Is this because there are no options for lupdate and lrelease
