Why "Developer Network" is in Beta?

I'm trying to be an active member here for a week now ... and all the time I'm looking at that logo at the top of the page and couldn't understand why it has to be in beta? What is it needed to become a final version?
Wouldn't it be great if the people from "http://discussion.forum.nokia.com/forum/":http://discussion.forum.nokia.com/forum/ (especially Qt developers) come here?

DevNet is growing (both in members count and features count), so it is in Beta. I'm not sure it will go to final in near future. It is ok for web projects to be in long beta (e.g. GMail).
Beta doesn't mean that DevNet contains a lot of bugs, so you shouldn't be afraid of this status :) .It will be of course great if there will be new members here, but I'm not sure it is somehow related with beta status.

I'm definitely not afraid of bugs here ... indeed, I'm quite satisfied with the website.
It was related in my mind :D I was wondering if it is awaited to become final before Nokia will make some steps for merging the forums for Qt here.
DevNet could count on me for its members count :)

I'm not sure DevNet and ForumNokia will be merged. They have different goals. DevNet is all about Qt and ForumNokia is all about Nokia phones.

I have read "this thread":http://developer.qt.nokia.com/forums/viewthread/2630 and I understand the difference. Thank you :)

In my opinion such a merge should be very unexpected not only because of the different goals of the sites but also because of the new climate in the Nokia ecosystem :)

I was having in mind just the people from the Qt branch there.

secretNinja, it can be only their decision to move here :) It doesn't depend on site status :)

I'm sure that they would have come here if they'd known how helpful are the people here ;)

hi secretNinja, the beta tag is up because we still have a way to go before we're confident enough to take it down. And as someone said in another thread on this topic; it's WEB 2.0 - constant beta! ;)
Personally I'd like our "Qt Documentation project":http://developer.qt.nokia.com/blog/view/qt_documentation_our_new_roomie to land before we peel the "beta" off.
Maybe a little ceremony at Qt DevDays would fit the bill? :)
