Cannot install Qt libraries without QtCreator
-
Hello,
I am developing with Qt using Visual Studio. Now, everytime I download Qt for windows the installer forces me to install QtCreator - it cannot be unchecked. I find this really annoying. I have been looking around on the Qt website for an installerless version but I couldn't find any. Another annoying thing about the installer is, that it doesn't let you install Qt in a directory path that contains spaces. I don't know if this is related to QtCreator, but at least for my workflow a space in the library path is not a problem.
Until now my way of dealing with that was installing Qt somewhere on my desktop, copying the actual library to the place where I wanted it to be and uninstalling again.
Can anyone please tell me if there is a way to download Qt without QtCreator? If this isn't the case I would highly suggest to make it possible.
Thank you for your help!

Hi wronglyNeo,
There is currently no way to install Qt 5 without Qt Creator, unfortunately. This is a popular request though -- please add your vote to https://bugreports.qt-project.org/browse/QTBUG-28101
