Backspace key is not working in Qt5.2.x browser in linux (ubuntu)

Tested the example code (packaged in Qt under examples\webkitwidgets\browser) in windows 7 with Qt5.2.1 and Qt5.2.0 the browser code works fine, when i use backspace key to navigate back to previous page, but in ubuntu with the same version (Qt 5.2.1, 5.2.0, 5.3) backspace key is not working. It seems the backspace key is not handled by the browser engine in linux.

Please someone suggest how to fix this issue.
