Adding Libraries to Qt
-
Hello I am fairly new to Qt and need some help adding libraries. I need to use the location library but don't have it installed in my current version of Qt. Rather than using the online installer is there a way I can add that library to a project I already have. I don't care for the online installer as my download speeds from it take upwards of 2 days to finish downloading. Thanks.

Hi @RykerV,
What OS version are you on? What Qt version are you using? And how did you install it? (can effect which libraries it is easily compatible with)
my download speeds from it take upwards of 2 days to finish downloading.
Wow, that's pretty bad. Have you tried choosing a different mirror?
The location module is pretty small (compare to the base package/s), so it might be ok for you for just that module?
Cheers.

@Paul-Colby I am using windows 10 and as far as I know I am using 6.5.1 as that's what it says in the creator tab. And as far as installation went I just used the online installed and I guess I didn't add all the necessary libraries. Which for some reason the first time I downloaded it did not take very long. And as of recently I have tried switching to different mirrors using a command prompt "qt-unified-windows-x64-4.6.0-online.exe --mirror https://mirrors.ocf.berkeley.edu/qt/". it appears to get all the way through the archive, not quite sure, but will just randomly error and will not let me continue and will only let me retry.

@RykerV I also forgot to mention that te others mirrors do download much faster they just all seem to error out. With the error
Cannot download archive https://qt-mirror.dannhauer.de//qtsdkrepository/windows_x86/desktop/qt6_652_insighttracker/qt.qt6.652.examples.qtinsighttracker/6.5.2-0-202307080351tqtc-qtinsighttracker-examples-6.5.2.7z: Error transferring https://qt-mirror.dannhauer.de//qtsdkrepository/windows_x86/desktop/qt6_652_insighttracker/qt.qt6.652.examples.qtinsighttracker/6.5.2-0-202307080351tqtc-qtinsighttracker-examples-6.5.2.7z.sha1 - server replied: Not Found
