Qt Creator Clang Code Model configuration not saved after restart

The system:
Ubuntu 18.04 64 bit
Qt Creator 4.12.1

The bug:

• Go to application menu Tools -> Options -> C++ -> Code Model.
• Click "Check for questionable constructs" to open "Diagnostics Configurations" window.
• Click "Copy" to create customizable copy and then close settings by clicking "OK".
• Close and reopen Qt Creator. newly created configuration is gone.

Now I found that your problem is most likely QTCREATORBUG-23717.
