There will be still millions of devices that Nokia has planned to ship based on Symbian and Qt. So i guess that means there is enough devices for long time to code in Qt.

So dn't rush to burn that book, u might need it ;)

I am a desktop developer , I like Qt because it will let me build UI apps on Linux. I am migrating my Windows MFC C++ skills over to Qt. I have no interest in Qt mobile.

From what I've been reading Nokia and the Trolls don't care about Qt on the desktop, if Qt dies on the desktop there is always wxWidgets which is a lot like MFC for cross-platform UI

I still have hope for Qt on the desktop, and as a bonus I can use my Qt skills for mobile later down the road if Qt is still around

        Kind Regards,

Probably you misunderstood what the poster meant. He didn't mean to burn it. He meant to read it without waiting anymore.
