For several years I used and encouraged my students to use Qt Creator combined with MinGW.
I told them that this is a fine, platform independent system to start programming, and not only
for Windows. They are studying mechatronics and I told them, they might even install the software
    created without OS.
And I told them to get the installer file and just execute it ...
Because I think it is not necessary to allways use the freely available Visual Studio.

Now I thougt it would be a nice thing to go for a new version.

Now you need an account. Now you have to separately install MinGW.

    Good bye Qt. Hello Microsoft!

      1. You don't need an account. Just click "Skip" if you don't want to sign in.
      2. You can install MinGW from the Qt Installer directly.

Note: Having an account is useful as it lets you post in this forum to ask for help.

      It is still easy.
