GamePad Input not Working

I'm trying to run the gamepad key input example with both my xbox 360 controller and an arcade joystick I have. I'm running QT Creator with MinGW on Windows 7 64 bit. It just seems to not connect in any way. Do I need to use MSVC or install some dll's to work?

if you push your gamepad ,you will find the imputdata.yes, the example not work at checking the connect status.you can see my last answer.it can help you to have a code to work.
