Absolutely. I read that "MeeGo was chosen by the GENIVI alliance for In-Vehicle Infotainment (IVI)":http://www.linuxfoundation.org/news-media/announcements/2010/07/meego-software-platform-chosen-genivi-alliance a year ago. According to "their web site":http://www.genivi.org/ABOUT/GENIVIMembers/tabid/430/Default.aspx GENIVI Alliance includes BMW Group, Jaguar, Peugeot, Citroen, Renault, etc.

Thank you Eddy for kind reminding :D

Btw, i used Test Complete and TDriver before, they're also automation testing tools, but not only for Qt, so, i think i'll have a look at this one.

    Hi QtK,
I'm not sure if the challenge is for Chinese developers only, but if you know Chinese or you can fill the form, i think it's for all of us. And i reading the introduction of the challenge, it's hold by Nokia, is there some other challenges be hold in other countrys around the world?

It is more than 2 weeks after the Nokia connection event and no further info on Qt for ' next billion '. I tend to agree with Qtk that they themselves are not sure. Note that at around 4% market share, WP don't have an ecosystem. The only ecosystem that Nokia has is the Symbian one. So I wonder if these types of announcements are actually aimed at getting more Qt apps for Symbian, until WP gets on more phones. Sorry, unless Nokia doesn't give any solid information, people will keep guessing.

Yes you should have told TNT that you would not pay and that they need to figure it out them selves. This happened to me:
-The courier told me that I had to pay the tax.
-I told him that there was no way I would pay the tax, as Nokia clearly stated that they were covering all the cost (tax included).
-Within an hour he was at my door step with the sweet Qt Ambassador package in hand.
I think QML + js is intended for web style apps. Something similar to what people are doing with WRT on Symbian. For others that need more processing, it will be the traditional c++ way. So as far as I understand, Qt 5 integrates these features into a single toolkit instead of, one for webapps and one for native c++ apps.
I don't think so. The differences between QML and Qt C++ is not for style, but just concept of coding. It's more convenient to design and implemented UIs for app using QML. And also, you can extend your code with Qt C++ as engine or backend. So, i recommended you use this 2 together.
I heard the process to submit and maintain your application on Ovi store is a real pain. Do somebody have more info about the latter ?
May not agree with you on this.. I have submitted 2 applications recently. The process is very much straightforward and does not take much time to publish it once your application is ready. And you get to see detailed report of your application performance everyday and you can see how many people have downloaded your application in each country and for each phone model.

check www.publish.ovi.com for more details and Qt SDK 1.1 is helping me a lot.
