@MikeHawkes Hi and welcome to devnet forum Is the result of this apparent wrong reporting that you cannot install Qt5.12.2 ? Regardless of what the reporting mismatch and you can go ahead with the installation, just so. Not sure how it is on Mac. However, you might want to check if there are different target platforms selected which you do not plan to use. I am on windows and most people see the large amount of disk space required. However, in most cases only a much smaller amount is required. The maintenance tool simply preselects all possibility for a targeted version.

In your DLL, call QCoreApplication::addLibraryPath() before you instantiate your QGuiApplication/QApplication: https://doc.qt.io/qt-5/qcoreapplication.html#addLibraryPath The argument should be the folder which contains the platforms folder.

Ok i found the problem i just forgot to put the config file in my Deployment folder. Thanks for the help @jsulm .

well its solved which is it works in the old version of Qt ,where mine was now 5.10 , it worked on 5.4 version by luck i had that Qt version . Thanks for your reply too @sierdzio

Hi, AFAIK, currently, you have to build it yourself. See this Wiki entry

https://github.com/koutoftimer/sqrc/issues/1#issuecomment-475271441 There is one more problem I have figured out few hours ago. It is about Cmake support of Qt's static build. You may find out more about this in the qt's developers mailing list TL;DR: do not use Cmake to build your project with static Qt, use qmake ONLY.

@sierdzio Would love the run that. But I have no idea how since, again, I have no experience (yet) with Qt or QML. Also yeah I've seen that page and if I have to believe that then it's a SDDM thing. I'll contact them, thanks.

@Rameshwar @J-Hilk has given you the necessary code to start from. That's why people type in answers to questions. First try that and verify it works. Then change it so that it writes on your mainwindow or whatever you want instead. Only after that, write back if you can't get what you want working.

@SGaist I use qt-vsaddin-msvc2017-2.3.2.vsix,download from qt.io,and also i've tried download it from vs2017,both failed.

Did you check whether you don't already have several backends at your disposal ?
