@tkansgar there have been several issues recently but this sounds like https://bugreports.qt.io/browse/QTCREATORBUG-22552 that should be fixed for 4.10. Beta release is expected soon.

Hi again, I just solved both issues, displaying std::vector item values and hanging of gdb in qtcreator 4.9: If I switch on both "Use Debugging Helper" and "Load system GDB pretty printers", gdb hangs on the first breakpoint. If one of them is switched off, gdb works properly. But "Load system GDB pretty printers" seems to be useless for me now, and "Use Debugging Helper" provides exactly that functionality I missed here. Yes, there is a bug with Qt Creator using PyQt5. The problem: it fails to parse/add files properly to the project. For example: main.pyproject main.py test1.py test2.py test3.py To temporarily fix this issue you have to do it manually: { "files": ["main.py", "test1.py", "test2.py", "test3.py"] } So, issue is that it parses .py files line by line, but instead it should be added to the array. Yes, the sdktool is the "API" to add kits etc. to creator. The Qt installers use the sdktool.

The version number is the mechanism to promote updates (online) to users. For example if you wanted to change the display name in some root component you want to promote that as an update for the online (installer) users. The installer "sees" the updates when componet's Version number has increased.
