Qt Creator and other tools

@JKSH Was facing the same issue, just now and this post saved me a ton of time, thank you!

Just open a terminal and then: $ set PATH=C:\Qt\Tools\mingw1120_64\bin;%PATH% $ gcc --version You are all set. But if you want to build it, I would suggest using vcpkg since it has a port https://vcpkg.roundtrip.dev/ports/portmidi

@zayd Sorry for bumping, but realized when I get to this part with the screen that has the version control option and hit continue, this shows up in my terminal I'm running qtcreator from SOFT ASSERT [16:08:47.946]: "!m_files.isEmpty()" in /usr/src/debug/qtcreator/qt-creator/src/plugins/projectexplorer/jsonwizard/jsonwizard.cpp:337 This happens on io.qt.QtCreator from Flathub too.

wireshark happens to be using Qt. just saying.

Thanks Cristian, setting QTC_USE_NAMEDLICENSE=1 fixes the issue for now.

Thank you for your answer, it was exactly that, I had just enabled some qt debug categories. I set it back to "false" and now everything is back to normal. Thank you.

You can set the number of parallel jobs in the project settings of your project (under build settings)

It's actually the opposite of what you said, Cristian, but this is the answer. Thanks...
