@uwer Great project mate. I noticed it doesn't work for QWidget apps using eglfs. What needs to be done to make it works with QT QWidget apps. I tried removing some validations but ended with 10 VNC server instances, mouse works, but the remote display does not. I'll be happy to work on a PR adding the feature if you give me some light on it.

@Jagadeesh_Babu Calling QComboBox::setDisabled(true) does indeed disable a combobox. And/or for items in a QTableView you might want its Qt::ItemFlags QAbstractItemModel::flags(const QModelIndex &index) const to return none of Qt::ItemIsSelectable, Qt::ItemIsEditable, Qt::ItemIsEnabled.

I don't think it's an option currently available but could be worth adding to macdeployqt.

@brsmnc said in How to dynamically declare structure from text in runtime: I want to build an simple application that it takes data from UDP and parses it with given struct Why not create (declare) the struct(s) and read your data and save it in your struct(s)? You could use QByteArray, QVariant etc... or pre-declare one struct/class for every "type" you might have (if there are not too many).

@sierdzio In my case, Team A and B are in the same company. Team B does not use Qt in its code (no #include <QtWidgets> or equivalent), no call to the Qt API. Team B just needs the Qt redistributable to run the DLL delivered by team A. This is why, I wonder if Team B needs Qt commercial license. Of sure Team A need it.

That is clear. However, the build still generates a bundle as described there. Hence my question about where your helper application is stored with regard to where the application executable can actually be found which should be in the generated bundle.

@ScleaverZer0ne OK, I had hoped/guessed that your "takes long time and freezes main thread" might have been from having to evaluate child sub-tree to determine size. I don't know then. If it were me I would probably keep playing till I found out what was causing the delay/freeze, but that's up to you.

@fherder said in qt.tlsbackend.ossl: Failed to load libssl/libcrypto: What exactly is happening here? I was hoping that by using Qt I could sidestep all of these issues with having to find and include libraries on the user's system. Hm, I think it should just work. But also it should not try to load OpenSSL but rather use the security libs from macOS I think. https://doc.qt.io/qt-6/ssl.html I have an app using QtWebSockets and secure connections work out of the box on macOS. Make sure you are not using some outdated Qt version.

@ChrisW67 I made a breakpoint at QFileDevice::close(),but the debugger never goes in.And only the QFileDevice::close() calls the QIODevice::close().How I found about this, because I found the file is still occupied after calls QFileDevice::close().But when not call close() explicitly and in QFile dctor call QFileDevice::close() implicit, the file will not be occupied. And this is only happend in my computer. I agree with @sierdzio , and I just want to add that several years ago I got curious about why and how the private data-members are visible to QML. What I discovered was posted to stackoverflow (shared here for the curious): https://stackoverflow.com/a/56694238/10278

@leonardo-M-B I guess your Qt Creator version could be newer than the one of your colleagues because .qmake.stash is available . Your distclean might be even better since it deletes .qmake.stash as well. No worries about the difference. make distclean simply deletes everything in the build dir. yours is even cleaner.
