Creating a Mobile Application - Documentation

  • Greetings,

I am a new user of QT. I am trying to follow along with the tutorial and I get to the instructions where it tells you how to load the svg into the mainWindow. I find the file under resources. However, it won't let me copy. Is there a trick to do it on Mac? I have tried several different ways with no luck. I also noticed that it said to hit the delete key to remove the text element. I had to right click / edit / delete in order to delete it.

    Mac OSX - High Sierra
    Version 10.13.4

QT creator 4.5.0 (Updated to 4.6.0)

  • Ok, I upgraded QT creator to 4.6.0 and I still have the same issue.

    Hi,

What exactly does not work ?
What error are you getting ?
What version of Qt are you using ?
What platform are ou targetting ?

  • @SGaist
    QT 10.5.1

I am not getting an error which is why I linked you to the tutorial in The QT documentation. The svg file will not drag and drop into the rect. The bolded text says drag and drop. I've tried coping the .svg file into the mainWindow. I don't know if this broken for Mac or just a flaw in the resource material or a bug. I was really hoping to create an application for iOS and port to Android using QT.

Here is the exact Quote from the reference material.

    5. In Library > Resources, select Bluebubble.svg and **drag and drop** it to mainWindow in the navigator.

    I am targeting iOS.
