Could not initialize egl display

Hi,
We are running a qt application on X11 platform. The application is getting crashed when I run it for the second time with the below error.
Could not initialize egl display
Aborted

Could anyone give me a clue..

What version of Qt are you using ? In which distribution ?
How are you starting your application ?

We are using Qt 5.6. First of all, Xserver launches, then matchbox-terminal and on top of that we run our Qt-application. let me know if u need any more info

What graphic cards do you have ?

Does it also happen if you are using your distribution's Qt ?

@SGaist we are using Linux kernel v4.6 customized for our embedded-platform....

The kernel is one thing, what are you running on top of it ? Debian ? Ubuntu ? Yocto ?
