display name when loading the app
Suppose the name of the app I wrote is 'p_x_f'. When the app starts, this name appears on a white screen (on iPhone, on Android I am not sure now).
I tried to use
Application::setApplicationName, but nothing changed.
Does anyone know how to change this text?
If you want to customize that you should provide a Launch Screen in your application package.
Thanks for your time!
I thought that using
QSplashScreenwould work, but it did not. Not on iPhone, neither on Android.
Does that mean that Qt does not provide yet a portable launch screen? I think this is a too common situation, and I find odd that Qt does not have a portable way to deal with it.
If that is the case, I have no other way but to define one direct in the Xcode project, right?
And what about Android?
Again, thanks for your help!
A Launch Screen is not something you can replace with a QWidget. It's literally an image shown by the OS before your application is loaded.
You can find how to deal with such stuff in the iOS platform notes of Qt's documentation.
A fellow here at work taught how to do it using Xcode, but I'll read this page too.
I read the Deploying Applications to Android Devices, you mentioned in another post, and I created an
There I was able to change the icon, and the
Application Name, but I have other issues to solve in order the finish the app, like the name that is displayed below the icon, which by now is the same name of the app.
Do you know where can I find this type of info?
That's the kind of information you can look up into Android's documentation.
