evdev vs evdevtouch Touchscreen driver (Linux Embedded)

Hello,

I'm running my application in 3 different i.IMX 6 boards, so 1 board has a ft5x06_ts (my own board) driver and others two boards (Freescale/NXP sabre sd board and Toradex Colibri Evaluation Board).
In my board the touchscreen driver is the ft5x06_ts and I cannot run the application with -plugin evdevtouch , only the -plugin evdev works the others I can run with -plugin evdevtouch.

The quality of touchscreen of the other 2 boards with evdevtouch is much better and the usability is very good.
When I use the ft5x06_ts driver in my own board the usability is not good.

What is the main difference with evdev and evdevtouch? What the touchscreen driver must have to be compatible with evdevtouch?
