[solved][iOS][Qt 5.4] QNetworkConfiguration, get bearer type not working
-
Hey,
I got a problem with getting bearer type from QNetworkConfiguration class on iOS, not sure if I'm missing some permissions for my app or it just simply is not working.
I try to get information if the user is connected to the internet by WLAN or 3G but the only thing I get is active configurations, the type is always Unknown.
the code below:
@QNetworkConfigurationManager a;
QList<QNetworkConfiguration> ttt = a.allConfigurations();
for(int i = 0 ; i < ttt.count(); i++)
{
if(ttt.at(i).state() & (0x8))
qDebug() << "ACTIVE:" << ttt.at(i).bearerTypeName() << ttt.at(i).bearerType();
else
qDebug() << "INACTIVE:" << ttt.at(i).bearerTypeName() --<< ttt.at(i).bearerType();
}@On my iPad it discovers 2 active interfaces and 1 inactive but all of them are unknown.
Any solutions? Do I need to use Objective-C to get this?

Hi,
I know it might be a silly question but, are you using a real device or the iOS simulator ?
-
Sure, I got one class in objective-C and one parser between objective-c and cpp.
First object-C code to get what you want(reachability.m):

Then myobject.mm:
#import "MyObject.h" @implementation MyObject MyClassImpl::MyClassImpl( void ) : self( NULL ) { if ([[UIApplication sharedApplication] respondsToSelector:@selector(registerUserNotificationSettings:)]) { [[UIApplication sharedApplication] registerUserNotificationSettings:[UIUserNotificationSettings settingsForTypes:(UIUserNotificationTypeSound | UIUserNotificationTypeAlert | UIUserNotificationTypeBadge) categories:nil]]; } else { [[UIApplication sharedApplication] registerForRemoteNotificationTypes: (UIUserNotificationTypeBadge | UIUserNotificationTypeSound | UIUserNotificationTypeAlert)]; } } MyClassImpl::~MyClassImpl( void ) { [(id)self dealloc]; } void MyClassImpl::init( void ) { self = [[MyObject alloc] init]; } int MyClassImpl::doSomethingWith( void *aParameter ) { Reachability *reachability = [Reachability reachabilityForInternetConnection]; [reachability startNotifier]; NetworkStatus status = [reachability currentReachabilityStatus]; if(status == NotReachable) { return -1; //No internet } else if (status == ReachableViaWiFi) { return 0; //WiFi } else if (status == ReachableViaWWAN) { return 1; //3G or 4G } return [(id)self doSomethingWith:aParameter]; } void MyClassImpl::logMyMessage( char *aCStr ) { [(id)self doLogMessage:aCStr]; } - (int) doSomethingWith:(void *) aParameter { int result = 0; // ... some code to calculate the result return result; } - (void) logMyMessage:(char *) aCStr { //NSLog( aCStr ); } @end
MyObject.h:
#import "MyObject-C-Interface.h" #import <Foundation/Foundation.h> #import <UIKit/UIKit.h> #import "reachability.h" @interface MyObject : NSObject { int someVar; } - (int) doSomethingWith:(void *) aParameter; - (void) logMyMessage:(char *) aCStr; @end
and myobject-c-interface.h
#ifndef __MYOBJECT_C_INTERFACE_H__ #define __MYOBJECT_C_INTERFACE_H__ class MyClassImpl { public: MyClassImpl ( void ); ~MyClassImpl( void ); void init( void ); int doSomethingWith( void * aParameter ); void logMyMessage( char * aCStr ); private: void * self; }; #endif
Now you only need to include myobject-c-interface.h
and use the function int doSomethingWith( void * aParameter );I know its not ideal but doest works and needs to refractor some names, but I used it only a few times.
It only discovers if the phone is connected through 3g/4g(1) or wifi(0), or its disconnected(-1).
