If we do not own a Symbian^3 device and only test it on the simulator will the entry be valid?[/quote]
You can make use of Forum Nokia RDA service in case you don't have a device.

Awesome, I have a few projects I can touch up and release to public. Maybe even a wiki article on some new stuff. Why ForumNokia instead of DevNet? Two competing siblings with the same parent?

Not quite. While we deal with all things Qt, ForumNokia focusses on development for Nokia devices.

Still, you have to admit that there is a... certain overlap there.

I'll try to participate. May I try to do both article and app? If I have some spare time since it is exam time :-p

Just decided it isn't worth the effort. Forum Nokia is quite large and there's only 3 (possible more, I know) winners. Better off selling the app.

The competition rules DO NOT say that you are not allowed to also sell your application, so why not build the hottest application, make the source available for others to learn from the best, get the E7 and sell it on Ovi store and make money?
Sounds like a perfect plan to me.

Also if more number of participants are there the number of devices given will also be increased. And I am quiet confident if you submit it you would win for sure.
Also people can form teams and contribute to the projects. I am a bit engaged with some project, so will wait till QDN comes up with similar contest.:)
