Does it mean that you also need to pass the "essentials" in order to use the "Qualified in C++ with Qt" "designation"?
Yes, according to the "web page":http://qt.nokia.com/developer/learning/certification/qt-certification-advanced-exams the essential exam is a prerequisite for the advanced certification. As far as I understood, you can take the advanced exam first, but you are not a "Nokia Certified Qt Specialist" as long as you did not pass the essential exam.
Damn, I knew there was a ripoff...

I got some notification e-mails on both exams telling me that I have passed both exams. The status at the pearson home page has also changed to "pass" for both exams. I hope we get the same printed out certificates like for the first certification soon :-)

Question to ones who passed both exams. What will you put into your CV? Just only "Nokia Certified Qt Specialist" or both certifications?

As it may not be obvious that the on is a prerequisite for the other, I would put both.

Volker, oops, I was a bit unclear. I meant both Advanced Exams.

ah, ok. Then of course both!

Volker, hehe :) I will add both too (all three, including essentials).

Unfortunately I was too lazy to take the advanced widgets for free. Silly me - I'll wait till next DevDays.

Volker, afair they will be with some discount in release mode for ones who have passed essentials before some date.
Updated.

Now as we have so many certified developers in the forum. Someone can start a wiki article on the different levels of certification and references to any study materials.

QtK, there is curriculums for all three exams at qt.nokia.com. I'm not sure that something more can be added, they cover all that you need to know to pass the exam.

Yes, curriculums are there. But there are no specific book to refer to for certification as we have for other certifications. So any sort of preparation material would help.

I think Qt Documentation is a perfect resource for learning Qt for the exams. Except those for C++ which "this":http://www2.research.att.com/~bs/3rd.html is the one book for C++ :)

Documentation is very good for reference. But then you always need a book or guide, some people like to read hard copy. Despite these documentation there are people in Qt working on preparing study materials. Now someone is doing it because they feel there is a need for such things.
Similarly, I felt there should be some more material available for preparing for certifications apart from Qt Documentation.
