    I just installed Qt Creator on Ubuntu. For some reason the kit is not set corectly. I probably have to link it with Qt. But what is the installation path? What exactly I am looking for? On windows it would be qmake.exe?

    Thank you.

      In the Qt installation folder of your home dir, qmake is in /gcc_64/bin

        @mpergand Thank you, I am totally confused. I can not find anything like that:
        Folder where Qt creator is installed:
        27d20c7c-3e49-49f8-8b9e-3db17c406f68-image.png
        When I search for qmake:

            Hi,

            It looks like you only installed Qt Creator.
            Which installer did you use exactly ?

              which qmake returns /usr/bin , when I select path, still can not link it: 3801b646-b4fd-43a1-b7ad-464de0d6ab06-image.png

              I think I installed only Qt creator, but when I run some Pyside project it works..

                @SGaist
                Firstly I installed QT creator from Ubuntu software, then I removed it and Install from qt-everywhere-src-6.3.1.tar.xz

                  This is Qt source code! Do you mean you compiled it?

                  All you have to do is to install QtCreator AND Qt using apt: https://wiki.ubuntuusers.de/Qt5/

                    @jsulm sorry I installed it from qt-creator-opensource-linux-x86_64-8.0.0.run

                    Now installation is running from "online installer". Hope it should work!

                    My ubuntu is 22.04

                      @Witc OK. Thank you all, now the Qt creator works! Online installer seems to be like the the most reliable way to get it working.
