How to make a resizable gui?

Hi!!
I have made a GUI that acts as a birthday reminder. There is a pixmap in my window that sort of act as a banner for my project. Now everything is done but when i resize the window nothing else moves. But I want to resize the widgets to fit my window. How can I do this I have tried using a box layout but that didn't work moreover when I use the layout the image sort of forms in the centre having border on all sides. How can I solve this. Thankyou.
