FYI, I just tried to sign my first APK with Qt Creator and it failed. I created the keystore and certificate pair in Qt Creator using a strong password including special characters. After searching for a solution, I discovered this bug report from an old version of Qt Creator:

Signing APK with KeyStore password containing special characters fails

I can confirm this bug still exists in Qt Creator 4.8.1 and Qt 5.12. The solution is to not use special characters in your password. Hope this helps somebody.

          Thanks !

Can you also add the NDK/SDK versions you are using ?
You should also add the patch version of Qt 5.12 you are using.
