    I installed Qt opensource from the webpage. How do I check if I have libraries? I work on the newest Kubuntu

      There is an installation page for Ubuntu, which should work also for kubuntu.

        @Eddy But I have Qt installed. Only examples containing qt wayland don't work. QtWayland is the main reason why I need Qt ;(

            I have downloaded an open source installer from https://info.qt.io/download-qt-for-application-development
            I don't even know how to check if I have QtWayland there.

              Take a look at the content of the lib folder in your Qt installation.

                          Just in case someone else lands here when trying to build Wayland examples, I had the same problem and @SGaist helped me over on this thread to find a workaround. Basically I just had to build the qtwayland module from source and install it.
